In search of anti-racist fanfic writing discussion

This is probably a really niche request, but I figured I might as well check here.

I'm looking for a place where people who are in the process of writing fanfic can talk about colonialism, appropriation, etc. in the source material/canon and in their own narratives. What do you do when the work of fiction that you love contains problematic assumptions about race (either conscious or unconscious on the part of the author)? If you're writing fanfic based on it, is it possible to avoid perpetuating/promoting racist sentiments while still being true to the original in the ways that are important to you?

Does anyone know of someplace on or off LJ where conversations like this happen, or could happen?
